Having parents who emphasized learning a trade in addition to having a profession, Catharine Thomas learned sewing as her trade and at the time of photographing worked for Bob Steinberg (age, 70) at Stone Mountain and Daughter Fine Fabrics. When asked to comment on whether or not it is more difficult for older women than older men in the work place she replied, "At this age, its not a sex thing, its an age thing."
