Hubert Dreyfus, age 75

A professor of philosophy at the University of California Berkeley, Hurbert, specializes in the interpretation of Edmund Husserl, Michel Foucault, and Maurice Merleau-Ponty, and (especially) Martin Heidegger. In 2006, a recording of one of his courses "Man, God, and Society in Western Literature - From Gods to God and Back" was the 58th most popular webcast on iTunes.

As one of his former students, I can personally attest to his amazing patience as an educator. He treated each of our questions and comments with respect and careful consideration (even though like most teachers, as I am sure, his students often recite different versions of the same questions).
